Where will my massage session take place?
Your massage session will take place in a warm, comfortable, quiet room. Soft music may be played to help you relax. You will lie on a table especially designed for your comfort.
Will the practitioner be present when I disrobe?
The practitioner will leave the room while you undress, relax onto the table, and cover yourself with a clean sheet provided on the table.
Will I be covered during my session?
You will be properly draped at all times to keep you warm and comfortable. Only the area being worked on will be exposed.
What are the benefits of massage?
Massage can help release chronic muscular tension and pain, improve circulation, increase joint flexibility, reduce mental and physical fatique and stress, promote faster healing of injured muscular tissue, improve posture, and reduce blood pressure. Massage is also known to promote better sleep, improve concentration, reduce anxiety and create an overall sense of well-being.
Is it appropriate to tip your massage therapist?
Although a tip is never required; it is always appreciated. If you are pleased with the service you received, and you want to give a tip, do so. But don't feel obligated. Keep in mind there are other ways to show appreciation other than tipping. Referring your therapist to others or giving a great review on social media are huge ways of saying thank you.
My name is Crystal Dirksen, I've been married 10 years and have two beautiful daughters. In September of 2010 I graduated from Rasmussen College with my Associates degree in Applied Science, specializing in Massage Therapy. In June of 2012 I graduated from Tricoci University from the Esthetic program. I have been practicing massage for nearly 4 years now and have enjoyed every minute of it.
My journey first began when I started working for Dr. Kong, DOC of Serenity Massage & Aestethetics and Northern Illinois Medical Group. When it was decided that Serenity would no longer be a part of NIMG, I became the new owner of Total Serenity Day Spa & Wellness Center in Rockford, Illinois. As time moved forward I moved to the Freeport area, and began my practice here. As I was building my practice, I decided to go back to school for Esthetics in order to offer my clients more health & wellness options.
My specialties include: Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy and Pregnancy Massage, Body & Facial Waxing, and Customized Facials.
I wish all is well with each and every one of you and hope to see you soon.

My journey as a LMT first began when I started working at Bella 360 Salon & Spa in Lena, IL. I worked there for a family friend I have known since I was a little girl. I very much enjoyed working in a spa atmosphere and being able to help people feel good about themselves. From there I started working as an independent contractor and here at Fitness Lifestyles.
